Terms of Service

Thank you for choosing Makeup Artist by Elle for your special occasion. The following terms are intended to provide clarity, protect both parties, and ensure a seamless beauty experience.

1. Booking & Reservations

To reserve a date, a signed agreement and 25% non-refundable deposit are required. Appointments are not confirmed until both have been received.

• Remaining balance is due upon artist’s arrival on the day of the event, before services begin.
• Accepted payment methods will be confirmed during consultation.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
• Cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advance.
• Same-day cancellations or no-shows are charged in full.
• No refunds are given for missed services or absent party members.

3. Bridal Trials

Trial sessions are available and encouraged to ensure the perfect look. A separate fee applies. Learn more about trials here »

4. Travel & Location Requirements

Elle provides on-site services island-wide. Travel fees apply outside the San Juan metro area, calculated at $1 per mile. Parking, valet, or toll fees are the client’s responsibility.

• A well-lit, clean area with a table or workspace must be provided for setup.
• For remote or unique venues, please discuss logistics ahead of time.

5. Delays & Timing

• A $25 late fee applies for every 30-minute delay caused by the client or party.
• Please ensure all individuals receiving services arrive on time and follow pre-appointment instructions.

6. Hygiene & Liability

All tools and products are sanitized between uses. Elle uses hypoallergenic, high-quality brands suited for sensitive skin. Clients must notify Elle of any known skin conditions, allergies, or sensitivities before service begins.

• Patch testing is available upon request.
• Elle Makeup Artist LLC is not liable for any skin reactions that were not disclosed in advance.

7. Satisfaction Guarantee

Elle ensures each look is completed to the client’s satisfaction before wrapping up. Acceptance of the service is acknowledgment of satisfaction.

8. Responsibility for Group Payments

The booking party is responsible for the entire balance, including any unpaid amounts by other members of the group.

9. Media Usage

With permission, Elle may photograph finished looks for portfolio and promotional use on social media or the website. Clients may opt out during booking.
